Super Talk 96.1 WLXO in Lexington is announcing it’s newest talk radio program, “Kentucky Travel Time”. The program is being produced by representatives of Kentucky’s Eastern Highlands North and Eastern Highlands South tourism regions. It will air each Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm., beginning August 13th

www.kytourism.com

The program hosts will deliver a week to week travel guide to listeners interested in entertainment, historical sites, heritage and cultural sites, out-of -the- way  restaurants, modern lodging facilities, nature based tourism locations, camp grounds, fall festivals, and a host of other under recognized places to visit, all located in the beautiful mountain area of Kentucky known as the “Kentucky Highlands”.

The program will place a major focus on nine of Kentucky’s State Parks and eight of Kentucky’s State Resort Parks, highlighting their endless outdoor recreational opportunities and special event schedules.

Listeners will be exposed to Kentucky Travel Time’s Web site and follow direct links to other destination web sites, including those of the show’s advertisers and sponsors. There will be various opportunities available to listeners to participate in free get-a-way weekend drawings, like submitting pictures of themselves as they visit historical markers. Every picture is worth one entry for the weekly drawings. Lodging and attraction packages will offer valuable discounts and one stop shopping.

There will be plenty of “do you know where…” trivia questions, that will challenge the listeners’ knowledge of the Highlands regions, and invite them to “call – in” their answers during the show.

Kentucky Travel Time’s advertisers will be partnering with various special events as they address the Central Kentucky WLXO listening audience. Each show will feature added recognition to a particular area of the region during the busy fall festival season. Special well- know guests will make appearances to add to the show flavor.

Tune in to Super Talk Radio, 96.1 FM and share in the “Unbridled Spirit” of the attractions and hospitality of the Highlands Region of Kentucky.
